Firedove would be using her magic to turn him into a woman so he could infiltrate and smash a spy ring he almost shrank from his responsibility to the service for the first time.

But in the end, step forward he did becoming Donna Winslow of the Navy. While Don was already an experienced spy-smasher, Lt. Firedove would have to teach Winslow how to be a woman.

However becoming an undercover femme fatale for at least a full year was something he would have to learn on her own. The question was, would she ever be able to return to being Don Winslow after the mission.
